Level 1 feat issues

So i am a new DM going to run my first campaign ever and i have encountered an issue that i have been brooding over with no clear conclusion.

Essentially one of my players due to their background (wildspacer) has gotten the tough feat for their character.

I was approached by another player regarding this in the name of fairness, that they believe the others should have access to a feat (or something similar) aswell, however limiting it to only something with a minor increase.

While i am thinking that this is fair, i am not necessarily sure if this is the right way to do it or how to exactly handle it. And i would love to hear some extra input from others on this matter.
