You have a legal right to see the data they have on you. Here’s how to get it.
Hi fellow contractors,
Now that our personal information is on sale, at least let's go get our piece for free.
According to the law in the state of California (CA Civil Code § 1798.110), "specific pieces" means they have to give you the actual files, such as the actual audio/video recordings they have stored in our interviews.

Hi Mercor Team,
I am writing to request a copy of the personal information and professional records Mercor has on file for me.
As a worker on the platform, I am exercising my Right to Know and Right of Access under the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA). This is also consistent with the "Access" rights promised in Section 7 of the Mercor Privacy Policy.
I am requesting the "specific pieces" of my personal information, including:
- The actual audio/video recordings and full transcripts of my interviews and tasks.
- Any internal performance scores, rankings, or "inferences" the system has generated regarding my skills and abilities.
- A copy of my professional credentials and any internal messages or account notes associated with my identity.
As required by California law and your own policy, please provide these files in a structured, machine-readable format. Additionally, in light of the March 2026 security incident, please confirm if any of my specific data was identified as part of that breach.
Your policy mentions a 30-day response window for these requests, so I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
