New to fanfic, need recs

I’ve never really been one to read fanfic, but recently I’ve been wanting to. I typically like stories with an OC in them, although I’m really not a fan of x readers. I’ve noticed that ao3 tends to lean more towards canon characters, and I was just wondering if there was a site that better suited my tastes, or if I’m just not looking think up correctly on ao3. I should mention that the OC doesn’t have to be romantic or anything, I just like seeing what people do with a new character in a world lol. Any recommendations?
