sound upgrade gen 1 to gen 2?

Looking at possibly upgrading to the Gen 2 max’s but was curious if there is a noticeable sound upgrade at all? Whether that’s clarity, bass, etc., I don’t care too much about ANC and whatnot, but I appreciate them!
