Hi! Some time ago I posted about making some modular dungeon printables:

The help and comments you gave me really pushed me to keep working on this project in my free time, so I wanted to share some WIPs.

**Disclaimer: I’m planning to release this pack for free, but I’ll also use it as a kind of ad for my other (paid) projects. I don’t think this post should be moved to Friday because of that, but if needed, I can repost it at a different time — no problem.**

It’s been about a month, so I wanted to share some progress and get more feedback. I’m aiming to finish this pack around May — maybe June if I don’t have enough time or motivation.

Right now I’ve done about 90% of the blockouts. The goal is 30+ smaller pieces and maybe 2–3 bigger, more “epic” ones. I’ve already sculpted details for more than half of the finished pieces, so I’m hoping to wrap it up in about a month.

After that, I’ll probably adapt everything to the OpenLOCK system and add magnet slots. For now, I’m mainly targeting resin printing, but after release I might create a more FDM-friendly version (with deeper details). Though first I’d need to actually get an FDM printer to test it properly.

In my spare time, I also started working on a character for a paid project (for now I’m only sharing the silhouette — I’m still not happy with the composition yet). I’ll get back to it once I finish this pack. The idea I’m exploring is releasing content in chapters, set in a kind of historical fantasy world. Each chapter could work both as a standalone scatter pack for RPGs/TRPGs and as part of a bigger story. Ideally, people could either buy single pieces or full sets depending on their needs.

So what do you think about that kind of selling model — releasing modular “chapters” that can work both as standalone packs and as part of a bigger world/story?

And more importantly — from your perspective, what would make a free pack actually worth downloading and using? More variety, better printability, specific themes, something else?

I’d really appreciate any thoughts, especially from people who actually print and use this stuff — even small tips can help shape the direction of the project.

**Also, I understand that while I’m asking for feedback, I’m still technically promoting my own work — so if this kind of post isn’t welcome here, I’ll stop posting immediately.**
