Should I Leave My $300K Job and Move to India?

I’m at a real crossroads right now.

On paper, I have what most people would call a dream setup. $300K salary. But behind the scenes, it’s a different story. Office politics, constant friction, and misalignment are starting to take a real toll.

Lately, I’ve been seriously considering something drastic. Walking away from this job and moving to India.

Part of me thinks it sounds crazy. Leaving that level of income, stability, and opportunity is not a small decision.

But another part of me wonders if this is exactly how people get stuck. Golden handcuffs, slow burnout, and years passing while you ignore what you actually want.

The idea of a reset, a different pace, and being closer to what matters is becoming harder to ignore.

Has anyone here made a similar move? Left a high-paying job in the US and chosen a completely different path?

Trying to think this through carefully before making a decision I can’t easily undo.
