What makes the gunplay great to you personally?

Not trying to hate.

For context, my friends and I have played alot of COD, Battlefield, Apex, Fortnite, The Finals, and Arc Raiders. We aren’t super familiar with Destiny or Tarkov, but we’ve experienced high and low ttk across different game modes.

My friend group tried getting into Marathon but we don’t see how it beats out any of the other games in terms of gunplay. Sure, the guns feel snappy, but the TTK + downtime between engagements make confrontations less rewarding.

I understand games aren’t for everybody but i’d want to hear from current players the aspects they do like. And if they have played the games i listed above and what marathon may do better to them.

Also, I think the art style is amazing. The futuristic nasapunk thing going on is fresh and unique. It reminds me of the off-white fashion brand.

My personal impression of the game so far is that it’s a blockier and more hazier looking Apex where you die way faster and see less people.
