Seeding a new tank with live rock

getting my tank ready to cycle. I plan on doing a fishless cycle with some doctor tims. but I planned on seeding the tank with some live rock from Tampa Bay saltwater. they boast about their rock having hitch hikers. so my question is do I wait till after the nitrogen cycle is done before adding to not kill off any possible hitch hikers or do they just power through the cycle?
