Strange Astrolab editing issue
Hi all - Arturia is taking forever to get back to me so I thought I would see if you have any wisdom for me.
I've been a V Collection and Analog Lab user for a long time and I just bought an Astrolab. After unboxing it, I did a quick test both standalone and with the computer and everything seemed to be working fine.
Then after updating to 1.7 I went in for some deeper exploration. What I'm finding is that when Linked To Astrolab only about 20% of the controls work when editing a sound in the individual instrument. For example, if I load an SQ-80 sound then open the SQ-80 from Analog Lab, I can directly change the filter cutoff, but changing the waveform of the oscillators has no effect at all. If I unlink the Astrolab and play the sound directly on my computer the waveform and any other change that I have made in the software is reflected immediately.
So I'm stuck doing all my editing while unlinked and then sending my sounds to the Astrolab afterwards.
I've done all the basic stuff - different USB cable, reinstalled the firmware update, cleaned preferences and factory reset the Astrolab. I even tried another computer. Nothing helps. My guess is that the problem started after the update, but my test beforehand wasn't quite thorough enough for me to be sure of it.
So I'm wondering if it's time to try recovery mode and downgrade the firmware? Maybe a bad idea. Or just return the thing and try again? Any ideas??
