Nmims is this a scam?

I got a BLR call at 1200 merit in the first round, and now I’m seeing that they’ve offered BLR to candidates up to 4900 merit.

How does this even work? Are there really this many buffer calls?

or is it a SCAM? like they say they are reducing their batch size for blr to 240, previous year it was 400 and now still these many...
