**Will L'Oréal Excellence Crème 5.3 (Golden Light Brown) work on virgin black hair without bleaching first? Will the result look like the box?**

Hey everyone! I'm planning to dye my hair for the first time. My hair is completely virgin (never been colored or treated before) and naturally black/very dark brown.

I want to use L'Oréal Excellence Crème 5.3 Golden Light Brown, which contains ammonia.

My two questions are:

1. Do I need to bleach or strip my hair before applying the dye, or can I apply it directly?

2. Will the result look similar to what's shown on the box, or will it come out much darker since my base is black?

I've seen on a virtual try-on tool that the color looks good on me, but I'm worried the actual result will barely show on my dark hair.
