Giant mix playlist thumbnail in Home feed after new update

After updating to the latest version on tablet, the first thumbnail on Home feed appears giant, filling the whole screen. It is always a mix playlist. All other thumbnails appear the correct size, and the problem goes away when I pull down to refresh. But the problem returns every time I open the app fresh.

Is there an option I am missing that fixes this? I have put it in tablet mode already. I do not want to remove mix playlists.

EDIT: it is not just mix playlists, but whatever video is placed first, and the problem resolves as soon as I scroll it off the screen, but it still happens every time I open app.
