Advice for a newly discovered generator and job searching

Admittedly I am very new to hd. It took me a sec to find the resource section here🤦🏻‍♀️ but I have been doing a deep dive ever since. I am having a hard time accepting I am a pure generator because I have lived from my mind forever and never wait to respond. It feels so passive and that has never really been me. I feel completely disconnected to any inner intuition and it is going to be super hard to change that. I will need longer than 7 years🫠. I do want to experiment with this and that is why I am asking for some advice/insight.

I have wanted to work at a bookstore or library since I was a kid. Yesterday I decided to go to a bookstore that I haven't been to in years and this was pretty spur of the moment. I did get this thought that maybe they are hiring and checked online and it didn't show anything. Went to the bookstore and I swear I heard one of the workers say to another worker something like this was her last shift and she loves this place (I'm 70% sure it was something like this I was pretty absorbed in a book tho). I didn't want to run over there and say does that mean there is a job available lol. What I want to do is email the store just asking if a position is available or something general like that. Is that leading with my mind again and going against my strategy? Should I just keep checking their website and not reach out?
