Helping a friend out - got laid off today

A very close friend of mine got laid off today, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about it.

She had gone back to our home country years ago, but decided to return to Dubai few mos back to try and rebuild her life. She went through the whole process of coming back, and starting a new job, which I helped her secure in our company. For a moment, it felt like things were finally falling into place for her again.

Today, everything just fell apart, because of the ongoing war and the business slowing down, our company had to let her go.

It feels so unfair. She made such a big decision to come back, only for things to fall apart again because of something completely out of her control.

I feel really bad for her and can’t stop thinking about what she’s going through. I know this is a difficult time, and going back home isn’t really a good option right now due to the situation there, so we’re trying to help her find a new job as soon as possible.

If anyone knows of any openings for admin, call center, or back office roles in Dubai, please let me know. It would really mean a lot.

I just really want things to work out for her. 🤞🏻
