PSA: Recommended to update to iOS 18.7.7 if you are still on an older version NOW

Not just for the critical security updates.

If you are very much anti-Liquid-Glass, this is (likely) your final stop. If you keep running an older iOS, say 16, at some point in the future apps will no longer support iOS 16 and then you're forced to update to the newest version with liquid glass. Jumping on 18.7.7 now ensures you have the longest time possible before that happens.

Let me also make it clear that iOS 18.7.7 **IS NOT AVAILABLE FOREVER!** Apple WILL at some point in the future cut off iOS 18.7.7 and only provide 26/27/28 as an update path forward if you are too late. This is why you should update NOW! Last flight outta 'Nam!

P.S. If you are already on 26, there is no way to downgrade. Apple has not released IPSW files except for XR/XS. Sorry.
