Disa, the Restless
[[Disa, the Restless]] feels distinctly unplayable against most decks I face up against, atleast in the way I'm playing her. In my local pod most players run bracket 2-3 decks, more importantly though most of them are experienced players that know how to build a deck and those decks often run board wipes, removal and counterspells and not to few of them. I think theres a distinct gap between what I build, being lots and lots of setup + basically every single lhurgoyf in order to get the most out of her first abbility (and I don't think I'm alone with that idea) and bracket 4-5 disa decks. I'm talking about cards like [[Underrealm Lich]], [[Garruks Uprising]], [[Ashes of the Fallen]], [[Greater Good]] and a few more and what all these have in common is that most people can see that those have to go right away. I think this is where this distinct gap lies that I'm talking about. Unless you play her with infinite combos, [[Dark Ritual]] and similar stuff in mind (Bracket 4 or 5), she's the commander that feels the most prone to removal and graveyard hate out of all the commanders I've ever seen (I'm relatively new).
Either I mill my entire deck and win the game, the aggro player kills me before I can do anything about it or the control player removes my setup cards and I can't do anything for the rest of the game. Is this just a thing with my pod or is this just a thing that combo based commanders have in common? (Though I do of course see that playing her in this combo type of deck was my decision and playing a simpler, maybe aggro heavy deck might fix this.)
