S1 ending theory on plot holes

!So I have a theory basically at the end of S1 as we know the party play D&D and the end is pretty similar to the ending of S5. At the end of the campaign Will, Dustin and Lucas question Mike saying the end doesn't really make sense, saying "what about the flowers in the cave?" Or the "proud princess" I know this isn't a direct reference but still, I think I should count for something!<
