Series that is able to have incredible depth/complexity BUT is also written in a way that is very accessible?

Recently, I started the Death Gate Cycle by Weis & Hickman, and my expectations have been far surpassed. I expected perhaps a more accessible/YA-ish style that I believe they are known for, but not how deep, complex, and intricate the world would be. And despite a rather convoluted world with a lot in it, I have never once felt overwhelmed or confused (easy-to-read without sacrificing complexity). And to top it off, unlike other accessible fantasy authors who might over-bloat their story with FAR too many pages to build their world (ex. Sanderson), Weis & Hickman are incredibly efficient and lean in their page time.

So I’m curious if anyone can think of another series like this? A fantasy series that is able to have incredible depth/complexity BUT is also written in a way that is very accessible?
