Forest Map tips

I’ve been playing since release with my friend and the first day we agreed that forest was the easiest map to survive and that it was super unfair for the killer. I guess the devs agreed so they reworked the map a few times. Am I the only one who cannot survive forest now? Especially if it’s an enard like ur not getting out. Any tips?
