Need for MOD come-on “Shape”

I often find myself wishing that my synths (hardware or software) gave me a “ linear to logarithmic to exponential” curve for when a source starts acting upon a destination.

An example would be maybe the wheel doesn’t give distinguishable vibrato until the very end of the mod wheels’ throw (this is not something I want. It’s just to illustrate)

I’ve seen it somewhere. Pigments can do it, but I think you have to use the Combinator.

so often I make a patch that’s close to perfect but I can’t get that extra little bit of detail because a module tour is just kicking in in a linear fashion. When I really wanted to wait till the end.

Has anyone ever come across this as a problem has come across this where the synth has provided a solution?
