Islam believing that Jesus didn’t die on the Cross

(Question/Discussion)

I’m not Christian nor will I ever convert to one but I looked into the Islamic perspective of Jesus and once I compared his fate to the Christian one, it was so contradicting. There’s actually not that much debate on whether Jesus died on the cross or not. The majority of scholars agree that Jesus did indeed die of crucifixion. Even the majority of secular non Christian sources confirm that he did die on the cross. There doesn’t seem to be anything contradicting his crucifixion. Then centuries later when Islam first appeared, they decided to claim that Jesus didn’t die on the cross cause god raised him up to heaven while the man that was crucified was the fake Jesus. Like how much sense does this really make that centuries after the obvious crucifixion, a new religion decided to say to the first Muslims that the “real” Jesus didn’t die and was raised by god in heaven?! Isn’t that so contradicting. Now I can really see where Christians are coming from when they say Islam makes no sense to them. Muslims say he was Muslim when he was really a Jewish teacher just cause he submitted to god when there was no concept of Islam and Muslims 2,000 years ago which doesn’t make sense to me also And I also find it strange that Muslims believe Jesus will return like Christians on judgment but for a different purpose and that’s him saying Islam is the right path. I’m 100 percent confident that Jesus will never return. Again it really makes zero sense that according to Islam, the person who died on the cross wasn’t the real Jesus and the real one was raised up in heaven. I believe Jesus was crucified and has been dead since then.
