Sorry for the long story but a lot has happened!

I, 17F, got 4 small cavities filled around 3 years ago. Before they were filled, I only experience minor sugar sensitivity but nothing else. After getting them filled my mouth erupted in pain and sensitivity to cold, warm, and sugar in some areas. Had them redone twice after that but they only ever improved slightly between each one. 

A year ago I got my wisdom teeth taken out and the pain and sensitivity doubled, especially on my left side, both top and bottom. I was unable to eat anything lukewarm or colder. Anything cold caused a deep pulsing pain that took time to get back to settle down, and hot foods caused a quick sharp sting. Even soft items like gum and fruit set off my pain. Overall, I had increased sensitivity, but thankfully my right side was less severe than the rest of my mouth. 

I found that I have bruxism about 6 months ago, and have been issued a mouthguard to try and help with the pain. Since I’ve been using it I can see all the deep notches in the guard from my grinding, even on my front teeth. However, the mouthguard often changes my bite and I haven’t noticed an improvement in my pain. 

Since the mouthguard wasn’t helping, my dentist decided to insert these temporary fillings that would sedate my teeth. They felt a lot better in the beginning, but they didn’t improve over the course of 3 weeks. Now, I’m being referred to an endodontist and my dentist is considering root canals.

Sensitivity products such as sensodyne and the listerine sensitivity mouthwash don’t seem to improve my condition. The oral surgeon said that my nerves were impacted when I got my wisdom teeth removed, so I wonder if that influences my pain. 

If it matters, I got composite fillings when they were filled and being redone. If anyone has an idea what’s going on with me, please let me know!
