What are the atitudes towards LGBTQ+ people at UniCatt?
I know it seems counter intuitive since its a Catholic University but I was wondering if its OK for LGBT people at Cattolica (Milan), since I am in their Masters Programme; are the people accepting (if I can easily make friends without worrying about homophobia)? I know Milan has a vibrant gay community so that is not my problem but since I come from the UK surrounded by supportive/progressive people I don't want it to be a cultural shock.
I know the Catholic identity of the school is only since it is affiliated with the church and doesn't represent the entire student body and I know its not that big of a deal but I wanted to know how the attitude towards LGBT community are like there especially if you're an LGBT student. The website says they strive to be inclusive but you never know until you ask and I don't want to be surprised later on. I am most likely being paranoid but I don't want to risk anything.
