Nothing here I'm mentioning is really anything new that hasn't already been suggested, but since Fatshark seems to be in a feedback collecting mode, I figured now would be a good time to bring this up again. Other than new missions, I think new regular non-monstrosity enemies are what Darktide could really use at the moment.

What we need is the dreg equivalent of a crusher or mauler. They could be armored with infested which would break up those endless walls of carapace with a still tanky but more "squishy" enemy type. This would allow weapons which aren't meant to be very effective against carapace, such as the heavy sword, dclaw, etc, the ability to still shine in high level missions which spam these types of enemies.

1.Hulking Poxwalkers: Basically a big boy poxwalker even more corrupted by nurgle's gifts wielding a long axe or polearm. This is basically my idea if Fatshark is having trouble with GW being anal about them including other Nurgle daemons in the game. They would essentially function similarly to a mauler but perhaps a bit slower and come at you in larger swarms. I'm picturing just a slowly approaching suffocating wall of these guys.

2. Plaguebearers: Pretty similar to option 1, but these guys would be an even bigger threat. They could attack faster and cause more corruption damage with their plague swords, as well as launch projectile clouds of flies distance from their mouths. You would hear them far off in the distance droning on counting Nurgle's endless plagues.

3. Pestigors: Another good option for a Dreg crusher. I'm not exactly sure how big these guys are in lore, but their size seems to be more in crusher instead of mauler territory. They would be big ass infested tanks wielding rusted axes and maybe some breakable shield variants.

4. Nurglings: These would be another swarm unit. Slightly faster than poxwalkers and with a bit more health. I'm not really thinking of these as a particularly tanky enemy, but more like a light harassing unit which pounces on you and just deals corruption damage before running off. Essentially a non-disabling pox hound, but in greater numbers and not quite as agile.

If you guys have any other ideas please share them.

Some ideas for tanky or other threatening enemies that aren't more carapace armor
