What is your Opinion on internal interview getting learning credits at the end?

I had an interview for a splunk role and at the end the interviewer told me the next steps if I was to get selected and she is giving me learning credits to take splunk certs.

I think I am going to get passed on because I don’t have certs but displayed all of my knowledge in the tool.

Maybe I am just thinking negative.
