Hey everyone! I'd like to announce the release of Everborne, the slice of life roleplaying sim focusing on deep, but fair, mechanics is releasing in 30 minutes live right now! The game focuses on legacy, crafting, and roleplay. Come be a part of the first generation to break soil!

Here's a few things that I feel set the game apart from other PBBG games!

Legacy

Your character is born, ages, and eventually dies. When they die, if they’ve had children, their bloodline will carry forward. Your parents and children can be other players, and long-running families build up lasting bonuses over generations.

A living simulation (that stays tf out of your way)

The world runs on multiple-layered systems, like weather, animal behavior, and resource depletion. But you don't need spreadsheets or to even keep track of this junk to play, you just do you and the world will evolve around you.

Identity and Races

There are currently 9 races with different traits and playstyles. You can be something like an aquatic egg-laying race, or something more… opportunistic that steals those very eggs. It's very flexible, and new races are planned to be rotated in and out, creating player-driven extinction events.

Afterlife System

When your character dies, that's not the immediate end. There’s an afterlife where you can continue your story for as long as you’d like before moving on. (With a stat readout so you can see how many times you picked flowers if you’d like)

Life Paths

There are 16 main paths you can pursue or mix together. Some examples:

Selectively breeding animals into entirely new uses (huge bunnies, anyone?)

Alchemy with a massive (190 billion) possible outcomes

Treating injuries and infections through an injury-based medical system

Mining, crafting, and building infrastructure (or leading it)

Hunting large monsters and exploring never-before-seen places!

There are also hidden, forgotten knowledge paths that you can discover later, such as magic and deception.

Fair Progression

If you see someone doing something in the world, you can eventually learn it too. There are no RNG-gated abilities or admin-only powers. Special characters and abilities are a reward for long-term play, allowing their future characters to have special traits. These are side-upgrades, not power creep!

There are a lot more systems than I can reasonably fit in one post, but that’s generally what the game is about. It’s a slow game, intended to be played in the background or on another tab and respects your time.
