State Exam in 3 weeks: How to "reactivate" 1.5 years of Anki without burning out?

Experiences

Hey everyone,

I have very important exams in three weeks time and could really use some strategy advice. It’s going to be 6 five-hour exams spread over two weeks, and I’m already worried about the exhaustion levels.

I’ve been prepping for about 1.5 years with a few breaks. I feel like I have the core knowledge down, but I’m struggling to "reactivate" the specific details I haven't looked at in a while.

The Situation: I’m currently spending 2–3 hours a day just on reviews. It’s eating my soul and taking time away from past papers. I still have some cards I’ve never even reviewed, and others I haven't seen in months because the intervals are so long (which is not as bad because I have law books and there are often topics in the exams no one could have prepared for anyways). I’m solving past papers, but I honestly don’t know how much I can trust my memory for the older stuff.

My questions for the final 21 days:

What do I do with cards due during the exam period? Should I use a "Filtered Deck" now to pull everything due in the next month and cram it now? With 5-hour exams back-to-back, I won't have the energy for 3 hours of Anki in the evenings.

Is it worth pushing through the cards I’ve never seen this late in the game just to "reactivate" those details, or should I just bury them and stick to past papers? Maybe just shift to blurting and compare it to cards in my library?

How do I shift from "long-term retention" mode to "immediate survival" mode? I feel like the knowledge is in there somewhere, but I’m terrified I can't recall them in the exam because I have forgotten about the existance of some ideas.

Any advice on how to structure these last 3 weeks would be life-saving!
