Why did no one warn me about Bubs formula?

I bought Bubs formula bc it's only $20 for a large can on Amazon and omg it's awful. Baby's spit up smells like actual barf and the consistency and texture is so weird. I feel like it's not safe for babies. Did I just have a bad experience or is it a bad formula?
