Confused

I'm really confused rn as I can't think of what to do ... college placements are not that good , people are not getting placed and the one's getting placed are getting offers with bonds and all and mind you these people are good they have good resume cgpa and allat ..now my cgpa(7) is shit , I'm about to enter 3rd year i want to go for the off campus route but i feel like i don't have much time and hope there looking at the market conditions. Gate looks like a way to go now i want to know if what I'm thinking is correct and can i score a good rank to get into iits in the remaining time . please guide your bro out
