Purchasing Toyota Hiace in UK

I'm hoping to purchase a van this year to start my own conversion, and I am thinking about what van might be best to use as a base.

I'm really drawn to the Toyota Hiace as its around the size I'm looking for, I like the styling in general particularly on some of the older models, and from what I can tell they are pretty reliable. The issue is they seem hard to come by in the UK, unlike some other countries I've visited where every other vehicle is a Hiace.

Does anybody have any experience of purchasing a Hiace in the UK, and has ideas of places to look? Or recommendations of alternative/comparible vehicles, similar to a Hiace, that may be easier to come by?

Any other thoughts on a Hiace as a base vehicle also very welcome!
