theres a way to trade UFC fights that most people in here probably dont know about and its way better than sportsbooks
if you're betting UFC through draftkings or fanduel youre betting against the house. they build in vig. the odds are designed for them to profit not you
kalshi is different. its a prediction market youre trading contracts against other users. no house edge. the price reflects actual market sentiment. and you can sell your position before the fight ends if you want out
but the biggest difference is method of victory contracts
on a sportsbook you pick who wins. on kalshi you can pick HOW they win decision, KO/TKO, submission. each method is priced separately
heres why this matters: the moneyline gets all the volume so its priced pretty efficiently. method of victory barely gets touched. less volume = worse pricing = bigger edges for anyone doing actual fight style analysis
example from last week: pyfer by KO was priced at 14% implied probability. if youve watched pyfer fight you know he finishes people. 14% was way too low. that contract paid out almost 4x
every UFC card has these. the market gets the winner roughly right but consistently misprices HOW the fight ends
i run a free community that breaks down every UFC card using this approach. full method of victory analysis on every fight 2-3 days before the event. three straight cards hitting at 85%+
we also cover bet sizing, risk management, and how to actually use kalshi if youre new to prediction markets. no paid tiers. no upsell
