Using AI for a portrait

I have a sleeve scheduled with my tattoo artist and cannot find an authentic reference portrait. The character I want is meant to look fierce and determined, but most of the portraits and busts I’ve found online don’t really capture that emotion. I did come across several AI-generated images that show what I’m looking for.

Would it be okay to use these AI images as reference to communicate the emotion and overall direction I want? Im worried the AI portrait would be copied verbatim into a stencil.
