When did your baby finally start napping in a crib for more than 30 minutes (or seconds) at a time?
I have a 9 month old. We are in a serious teething phase and the last few days he’s been needing 3 naps again. He still contact naps for almost all naps, and only sleeps a maximum of 45 minutes if he’s on me. If I try to transfer he usually wakes within 10 and there’s no getting him back to sleep after. He has never fallen asleep in his crib independently; always needs to be transferred after nursing by me or extensive walking around by dad.
I just need someone to tell me that someday we will get to be parents that just “put the baby down for a nap” for two hours and that’s that. When did this happen for you? Did you have to DO something special or did it just happen?
Also, if you have insight into how the hell daycare workers get babies to sleep in cribs please let me know. I work from home and my husband is a SAHD right now so we can accommodate contact naps but I am just over it.
