Help setting up my retroid!

so I don't have a computer and I am very tech illiterate. can someone please help out with setting up my system. I started the device and didn't install and of the recommended preinstall apps and just reformatted an SD card

I know how and where to get roms but want help on how to actually set up my system from where I'm at. like if I should go back to install some of those apps and how and if not, what should I do instead?
