Hi, so my rosy boa, Momo, hasn’t ate for about 3 months. He is my first snake and I got him back in August 2025. I believe he is around a year old. The last time he ate he had multiple very small prey (pinky mice) and he seemed pretty happy with it so I thought it was fine.

Unfortunately, in mid January he stopped eating altogether. I have made feeding attempts with his normal prey (small mice) weekly or biweekly ever since. I have tried adjusting the temperature of his food a couple times but he shows no interest.

Some more info:

I found out recently that his enclosure was too cold (about 80F in his enclosure) for a rosy, and changed it (about 87F on the warm side, 80F on the cool side) as soon as I found out (a month ago). I have been diligent about his humidity and temperature ever since. He was pretty active before but now even more so.

He is still drinking water.

I am not in contact with the seller who gave me him

I use a ceramic bulb for his heat side and a thermostat to control the temperature

I’m very willing to go to the vet, but I live in the US so it’s very expensive to get one without insurance

I am worried about him, I love this snake and truly want the best for him :(
