How are others carrying the new Z 70-200 VR S II

I love the new 70-200 but I am finding it challenging to carry with any type of strap. I have it mounted to a Z8 and find the balance point to be towards the back of the foot cover. Attaching a strap to the Z8 lugs with PD anchors works but I feel like I am at or a little beyond the limits of what should be hanging off the camera mount.

Attaching the full foot and then an anchor moves the attachment point further forward without significantly changing the balance point so it carries lens up / camera down.

With the V1 lens, I would remove the foot entirely but then attach the small PD anchor to the nub which had a 1/4 20 thread exposed.

What is the chance Nikon or someone else develops a minimal cover for the foot mount area that an exposed 1/4 20 thread or had an anchor lug towards the back of the lens?

What are others doing?
