Foreign experience while studying in Canada

Hi all, At the time of my study permit I was working with a company for 6 months and I continued working with them for another 6-8 months even after coming to Canada. For 11 months they were paying me in my Indian account and later they sent me payment in Canada.

Now I need some advice as to if this would be eligible as foreign work experience under CEC. My consultant says we can show it as IRCC only has restriction for In Canada work and not outside Canada.

Please let me know.
