Are management courses helpful?

I’m working at a job and have pretty much maxed out my salary for my position. I don’t have formal management training but I am more interested in leadership roles. Have you found that management courses have given you an advantage? I would have to study while I work as I can’t afford to quit working abd go to school FT. Thank you
