I’m a CS major and I hate the people in my major! The stereotypes are true

Discussion

It’s literally full of autistic people who don’t dress well, are socially awkward and don’t have a life beyond their code. One time I was working with someone for a project and literally she met all the stereotypes of a typical cs major: no fun, unstylish, chugging herself full of coffee all day and based on what she described as her daily routine, it doesn’t seem like she even showers. It’s true. The stereotypes are true. Even though this field offers promising careers, I feel humiliated being associated with these types of people because they confirm the stereotypes and so people will assume that I’m also a part of it. Other than academics, I swear I would not behave like a stereotype. I have interest in going clubbing, parties and any physical activities that involve being social instead of gaming or anime that will negate perceptions even more
