What in the frick frack paddy-whack happened with Beadalon?

Bead Talk

this isn't going to be a well-structured post with cool photos. I'm venting into the internet void while trying not to cry. I spent the ungodly amount for home-delivery from Michael's for some emergency Wildfire line and a couple "I am having a day and I deserve a treat things". Whatever. The less I am in public today, the less likely I am to discriminate against white men (This is a joke. It's a thing from the news today. The memes are great.)

I bought and was gifted a crap ton of wildfire and fireline last year so I've not bought any for a loooooong time.

this spool has me in tears. I just tied and wove in my new line and this ish is frayed to hell and feels nothing like my old wild fire of the exact same kind. i've had 4 major issues and snagging back to back. i've been beading since childhood and I'm using good beads and a size 11 needle.

idk if anyone else used PTFE tape a lot as a teenager for different DIY things, but this literally feels like thin PTFE tape. I'm sure they're similar because they're both nylon or similar polymers...but this is awful. I used to like Wildfire more than Fireline but if this is some kind of new "formula", I need the CEO of Beadalon to give a televised apology or else they'll find out in the worst way that some students and professions have access to medical grade termite colonies and some people will pay for that premium valet shipping.***

am I alone in this experience? please crash out with me if not. I'm getting a glass of wine and I guess restarting my project unless I can take out enough to save it and not look mega wonky.

***This is a joke. I am using unhinged humor as a coping mechanism because I am a minimalist in the hinge department. but yes medical grade termites do exist.

photo unrelated. Just a bunny pendant I made earlier with my pocket beading kit. I like to select random bead colors and pack them in my pocket kit and try to make something with a randomized color palette.
