There are many more types of neurodivergence than there are diagnostic categories

Anything in-between! :3

Think of "normal" brains like a standard power outlet: they all look and work the same way, so every appliance plugs in perfectly.

Neurodivergent brains are like a box of random electronics—some are high-powered lasers, some are vintage radios, and some are complex computers. Because they are all so different from each other, a single "test" or "plug" can’t fit them all.

Right now, doctors only give you a label (a diagnosis) if your "electronic" is clearly sparking or broken. But there are millions of people who have these unique brains and function just fine—they just don't fit the standard outlet. They are still "different," but they’ll never show up in official medical stats because they aren't "broken" enough to count
