Losing money freelancing, just need advice.

How do you guys actually handle scope creep in practice?

Not the textbook answer — I mean day-to-day when a client starts adding “small” things that weren’t in the original scope.

Do you:

just eat it to keep the relationship smooth

push back every time

or have some kind of system for tracking and deciding what’s billable vs not?

I’ve been trying to be more consistent about it lately because I realized I was letting a lot of small requests slide and it adds up fast.

Curious what’s worked (or backfired) for you.
