Phone
Location: Florida
I was arrested last year because someone made a fake social media account and used that account to impersonate me and threaten others. The police confiscated my phone when I was arrested. I've been on probation for the past 6 months and the case is currently closed. I contacted the police about getting my phone back and they told me they emailed the detective. The detective said they would fill out a property release for and give me instructions on how to get my phone back. It's been over a month since that conversation and I still haven't gotten my phone back. Is this legal for them to keep my phone even though my case has been closed for 6 months?
