Bib Sizing Question

Funny thing happened yesterday. I went shopping for my first set of bib shorts. I tried on some size L Trek bibs and they felt ok. Idk. First time ever wearing them and wearing boxers during a fit was weird. I'm 6' 185lb.

I texted my friend to ask what brand works for her and she let me know she has a bunch of bibs from her ex that he didn't want anymore. They are size M, brands range from Primal, Giordana, etc.

I tried a couple on and they felt pretty good. They were obviously hella tight but that's what all the threads here said they should be.

I wore the Primals last night for the group ride and they felt pretty good. Actually really good. But maybe I just don't know how they *should* fit? Does anyone 6' tall ever wear size M?

I really want these to work because I have literally like six sets of them now
