has anyone had this happen to them before?

I had a zaxbys pick up and as always, I reach out asking if the customer would like any condiments or utensils. I pick up the order and tell them that im on my way. they message me that their house is hard to find, and that it's "the first house on the left of the entrance of the street." + some details about the house's exterior. I tell them that I'll make note of that, but if it's difficult for me to find, i will call them.

i follow the GPS as usual and it takes me to a house that best matches the description that the customer messaged me, and is on what I assume the GPS had lead me to "the entrance of the street." the only difference is that the address number is 47 instead of 45, but everything else is a match, I check the GPS again and it says im in the right location. I both call and text the customer if this is the correct address/house.

at this point ive been standing/idling around what i could only assume to be the customer's house for atleast 15 minutes, waiting for a reply to my text or a return call from the customer. time passes and I leave the food at the house that matches the description and where the GPS has lead me to. I text them a picture of the house and tell them that this is where I delivered the food.

i was about 10 mins away from the drop off point before I get a reply saying that I left it at the wrong house. I ofc apologize and offer to go back and drop if off at the right house, but I requested that we call each other so I can find the correct location since the gps lead me to the wrong one.

their reply felt snarky " that's why I texted you the instructions." etc. which i defended myself by saying that I tried to call and text them ahead of time so that this wouldn't happen. I told them that either I could fix my mistake or that they count contact DD support for a refund.
