Does anyone else withhold their opinion or questions to allow for an inevitable failure so that your opinion will actually be taken seriously?

Today at work, we had a meeting discussing new initiatives that leadership is wanting to put in place. I immediately saw some glaring issues with some of their proposals, but I didn’t think that any of my feedback to their ideas would be listened to. So I kept quiet through the meeting, knowing that they will likely run into certain problems because they have not considered all of the potential issues. I felt like there was a need for their plan to fail in order for them to listen to anything that I have to say. Is this a common experience or is this just me not being a team player?
