I band-aided my power button am I running a server?

Meta Post

Hey r/selfhosted. Here's what I've been up to in my free time, and I'm curious if this is crazy or if others are doing the same thing.

I have a Ryzen 7 7700X, RTX 5060 Ti, 4TB SSD, 32GB DDR5 (I'm basically a millionaire, I know), Fedora Linux. It's on my desk. I game on it. I also can't stop adding Docker containers to it. At some point I put a band-aid over the power button so nobody would accidentally shut it down lol.

Yes, this thing runs 24/7 on my electricity bill. It's not nothing, but it's not a rack of enterprise servers either, so I've mostly made peace with it.

There's stuff I deliberately don't self-host. Passwords, important documents, anything I genuinely need when I'm away from home. If Audiobookshelf goes down for a day that's mildly annoying. If I can't get to my passwords or my class presentations I'm actually in trouble. So some things just live in the cloud and I'm fine with that.

What I am running and using: Jellyfin, Audiobookshelf after liberating my entire Audible library, Navidrome for music (there is a surprising amount of freely licensed stuff out there if you go looking), Invidious, Homarr, and Uptime Kuma because I was bored lol.

I also made a little go app behind Cloudflare Zero Trust that gives me a clean UI to start and stop entire service groups with one click. Resource hogs I don't use that often like Open Web UI, Ollama and Nextcloud just stay off until I need them.

Am I insane for doing this on a daily driver? Anyone else running their main machine as their server, or have I taken a wrong turn somewhere?
