HVAC vs Inspections company
I’ve been doing residential HVAC installs for about 3 years and went to trade school. I have my EPA 608 and was planning to eventually get my contractor’s license and start my own HVAC company.
Recently I met a city inspector who explained how to get into inspections, and now I’m considering that path instead.
I don’t really have a passion for HVAC, but I do like the idea of inspections—checking work, focusing on code, and less physical strain.
Long-term, I’d like to start my own business in whichever path I choose.
For those with experience in either:
• Which business is more profitable long-term?
• Which offers better work-life balance (time for family/travel)?
