CS Grad (2025): Got a Content Writing offer. Should I take it or keep looking for Tech roles?

Hey everyone,

I’m a **2025 Computer Science graduate**. I recently applied for a **Content Writing** job on a whim, and I’ve been shortlisted for the interview.

While I’m happy to have an opportunity, I’m conflicted. My background is in CS, and my long-term goal was GATE/Tech roles.

1. Will taking a non-tech job like Content Writing hurt my chances of getting a Software/SDE role later?

2. Should I join just to avoid a gap year while I continue preparing for GATE 2027 or looking for IT jobs?

3. Has anyone here moved from a non-tech role back into Core Tech/Development?

I’m confused if I should focus on the interview or keep hunting for something in my stream. Any advice would be appreciated!
