Am I being unreasonable?

Need Advice

My baby daddy’s family and I have always got along surface level. I am a very agreeable person and I let a lot of things go, maybe to the point of being a bit of a doormat.

Since getting pregnant quite a few things have rubbed me the wrong way.

I told them there would be no kissing on my newborns face. They all laughed and said the typical “You parents these days are too overprotective” “raising your son in a bubble” and “back in my day blah blah blah”

I told them I didn’t want visitors in the hospital and the grandparents said to his mother AND I QUOTE “I don’t care what she says. We will be showing up and he (their grandson) will have to be the one to turn us away”

Knowing he probably wouldn’t do that to his 80 something year old grandparents after they made the hour and a half drive.

His grandmothers 80th birthday will be coming up shortly after my due date and they planned a lunch outing an hour and a half away from my house and are expecting me to drive there and back exactly A WEEK AFTER I GIVE BIRTH!

His mom indirectly made a comment about me being “lazy” …8 days before my due date mind you…

And now they are expecting me to drive an hour and a half one way to an Easter dinner and an hour and a half back home when I will be 5 days away from my due date.

If I don’t show up, they will all talk badly about me and make me out to be the bad guy in the situation.

My partner is saying “Whats the big deal? It’s not that serious. If you go into labour, which I highly doubt you will, we can just drive back to the hospital”

It’s become a pattern that he doesn’t stand up for me or make me or his child a priority over his family. I don’t know if he’s scared of them or what but I’m starting to resent him for it.

I’m so angry I could scream.

Am I overreacting due to my hormones or is this a valid reason to crash out?
